a) Only 60 days are available for completing this
project. What is the probability that it gets completed within available time?
(6 marks)
b) An insurance organization can insure such projects
against timely completion provided the probability of claim is 0.1 or lesser.
How much excess (number of days of delay for which no claim is payable) should
be applied in the policy to keep the probability of claim around 0.1?
(7 marks)
c) Assume that variance of all the activities in this
project becomes 0. In that case what is the latest start time of activity L?
(7 marks)

Sir, My Roll no is 182052. I have done some mistake in the diagram because of some calculation error and hence my critical path is wrong too. That caused the variance value also to be different. But will I get marks for steps and formula applied for the questions?
ReplyDeleteYou don't need any calculation for drawing aoa network diagram. Necessary information was given in advance so that one can practice before examination.
DeleteThere may be few marks but that depends on overall answer.
Sir, My roll number is 182031, while calculating for estimated completion of project time I've arrived at 48 days instead of 53 and that effected my complete solution. But I've solved the problem with mean time of 48 days conceptually, and all my solutions came accordingly in align with 48 days instead of 53. will i get any marks for this?
ReplyDeleteDepends on how you got 48 and overall answer.
